For the Young Investor Portfolio, bought $1000 more of IHI, Medical Devices ETF, at $51.15/share...pyramiding upwards!

For the Early Retiree Portfolio, bought $5000 more of VUG, Vanguards growth ETF, at $52.29/share...again, pyramiding up.

Bought $5000 more of VDE, Vanguards Energy ETF at $86.46/share...also continuing pyramid up buying.

I am selling the remainder of FNORX and investing the proceeds in FIEUX. This rebalances European allocation towards a neutral position, from overweight in Scandinavia.

I am selling $1000 of PRSVX and buying TRMCX. This is shifting up some from small cap to midcap. I am concerned that small cap will not perform as usual in this recovery.

I am not documenting contributions to 401K & 529. Only adjustments to portfolio.

In 401K, I am targeting to increase International Large Cap, US Mid cap, no bonds, reduced emerging markets.

Updated Rotation hedged, sold RZV and PGF and replaced with EPP and VWO. Still holding EWO, TUR, and BND.

Updated RQTAA, sold DODGX and bought PCRIX. Still holding DODFX, VEURX, VGSIX.

I understand why you sold TAN, but why didn't you roll the position into another fund that was performing better?

Good observation, Don.

I want to have these model portfolios "follow the book."...Pyramiding Up. etc., valuations, momentum.

I almost bought some more PBW (alternate energy), as it is doing much better, but is not up enough from the last purchase to satisfy the approx 8-10 percent gain criteria I am using in Pyramiding Up each purchase.

Others, such as FXI, roll along nicely upward, but I am fully invested to the desired percentage...five buys completed.

So I am in limbo for a little bit.

But the Young Aggressive Investor is very happy, starting with $40,000 cash last year just before the huge downmarket, and she now has about $45,000, and wants to have a second party!!!

Documenting a sell...Yes, a SELL. My first on the M* forum model portfolios.

Sold out of small position, 104.9 shares of TAN, the Claymore Global Solar Energy etf, @ $9.80/share, eliminating the position.

Claymore was purchased in June 09, but has lagged the markets, and each new peak (about monthly) is lower than the previous peak. A small gain of 3% was taken. This is simply taking the laggard in the portfolio and exiting.

During the up markets since the June purchase, this fund has not gone up...See Ya!

I would be interested for colloborating on an article, if you could use the help.

I can concur on the wife, 4 month baby gets me a good deal of grief. I do think that to the extent you are providing knowledge without overwhelming people, you are making them more experienced and ready to ask the right questions.

YES. I plan to post here (and Fido Forum) a strategic review of each portfolio, since inception, showing the PyrUp and buys, why and how made, etc.

But, darn it, I am so stretched for time. Now getting lot's of traction on this PD/M forum, as many, including first time posters, are seeking portfolio guidance. Perhaps we are giving good advice!

I have made a personal commitment to respond to anyone who post on PD/M, so they know they will get at least one reply to any thread! I am thankful for other more experienced posters who are helping me in replies here.

I also participate on other forums..and plan a monthly article on insights to portfolio design and management.

But my wife says I am on the computer way too long. Oh well, never envisioned retirement would be so difficult...I enjoy helping.

I also sold VWENX ($1000) and bought VIEIX, as I continue to reduce cash/bonds. I am going to wait out Q3 earnings and then may sell some more.
