I am looking for one of the best performing Index fund out there -- VFINX has become attractive all of a sudden at close to 50% off its 52-week high. I am looking for an index for my Roth IRA (liquidating my target retirement fund because I want to actively manage my portfolio instead of it being on 'autopilot' and I've come to realize target funds are overrated).
So, without being tooo biased about Vanguard, do you truly think VFINX is the best Index 500 out there for a 30-year old working professional like me in my IRA? Don't tell me to invest in my 500 fund in my 401k plan which is managed by a crummy company. :)
